'''Semidar''' is the champion of the Abyss spawn, a seductive demoness. Her magic defense punishes male casters, and she drains life from everyone around her.

== Overview ==
* '''In-game name:''' ''Semidar''
* '''Corpse:''' ''the remains of Semidar''
* '''Behavior:''' it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights like a spellcaster (mage AI), mixing spells with melee.
* '''Movement:''' it is one of the faster creatures in the game (very fast speed).
* '''Bard skills:''' it can't be provoked.

== Abilities ==
=== Magic ===
It fights with the mage AI: it closes to melee range but casts between swings. Its Magery is 90.1–105.0 and its Evaluating Intelligence 95.1–100.0.
* '''Damage spells:''' Magic Arrow, Harm, Fireball, Lightning, Mind Blast, Energy Bolt, Explosion and Flame Strike.
* '''Other spells:''' about 1 cast in 8 is Poison (only if you aren't poisoned already). It may also Bless itself, curse you (Weaken, Clumsy, Feeblemind or Curse), drain your mana (Mana Drain or Mana Vampire) or Paralyze you.
* '''Healing:''' it cures itself when poisoned, and sometimes heals itself (Greater Heal when badly hurt), more often the higher its Magery.
* '''Dispel:''' with 601+ Intelligence it can cast Dispel on your summoned creatures (more reliably the higher its Magery).

=== Poison immunity ===
It is immune to '''all''' poison, so poisoned weapons, the Poison spell and poison potions do nothing to it.

=== Drain life ===
Every time she hits or is hit in melee there's a '''25%''' chance she drains life: everyone within 2 tiles loses '''10–40''' hit points, and she heals by the same amount. ''"You feel the life drain out of you!"''

== Special behaviors ==
* '''Reflects male casters.''' Every spell cast at her by someone with a male body is '''reflected''' back at the caster, and its damage is multiplied '''20 times'''. Characters with a female body can cast at her normally.
* '''Can't be provoked.''' Her script makes her immune to Provocation.

== Champion rewards ==
Semidar is a '''champion''': a champion appears at a champion altar when a spawn reaches its final stage, and killing it triggers the champion rewards.
* '''Power scrolls (Felucca only):''' 6 power scrolls are shared out at random among the players with looting rights (a player can get more than one). Each is a random non-crafting skill: '''+20''' (5%), '''+15''' (35%) or '''+10''' (60%). If you're protected by another player through the Justice virtue, your protector may get a copy (60% for a Seeker, 80% for a Follower, 100% for a Knight of Justice).
* '''Valor:''' every player with looting rights gains 800 Valor points.
* '''Champion skull (Felucca only):''' the '''Pain''' skull goes into the backpack of a random player with looting rights, or into the corpse if nobody qualifies. The six different skulls are needed to summon the [[Bestiary/Harrower|Harrower]].
* '''Gold rain:''' every open tile within 12 tiles of the body gets a pile of '''500–1,000 gold''' over the next 10 seconds, with fire and explosion effects. This happens on any facet.
* '''Star room gate:''' after the champion dies, the altar opens a gate to the star room (Felucca 5143, 1774) for 2 minutes.
* '''No artifacts:''' its script lists champion artifacts, but the code only hands them out under Mondain's Legacy rules, so they never drop on New Bradford.

== Loot ==
Every Semidar carries:
* '''Gold:''' about 2,422–4,650 in total (from its "Ultra Rich" ×4 and "Filthy Rich" loot)
* '''24 magic weapons, armor pieces or shields''' (guaranteed)

It may also carry:
* Another '''magic weapon, armor piece or shield''' (up to 4 chances, from about 33% down to 5% each)
* A '''musical instrument''' (about 10% or less)

=== Carving ===
There's nothing to carve from its corpse.

== Location ==
* '''Champion spawn:''' it is the champion of the ''Abyss'' spawn. It appears at the fixed ''Abyss'' altar at Felucca 5815, 1352, and at any of the 11 Lost Lands altars that rolls ''Abyss'' when it starts, once the spawn's fourth level is cleared.
''Champion spawns only exist if the staff have generated them (with the staff command <code>[GenChamps</code>); the code doesn't say whether that's been done on New Bradford.''

== Tips ==
* '''Male characters: don't cast spells at her.''' The spell bounces back with 20 times the damage and can kill you instantly.
* Female mages, archers and pets are the safest damage dealers.
* Keep melee fighters away from each other: her drain hits everyone within 2 tiles.
* With 1,500 hit points she's the frailest of the champions.
* Champions can move over and destroy obstacles in their way, and they see 18 tiles away, so you can't wall them off.
