The Juka Warrior is a foot soldier of the Juka race. Its hits are light (7–9), but they can stun, paralyze or land a critical strike.

Overview

• In-game name: a juka warrior
• Corpse: a jukan corpse
• Behavior: it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights in melee.
• Notoriety: it always shows as a murderer (red), so anyone can attack it freely.
• Rummages corpses: from time to time it takes a random item from a corpse within 2 tiles (*rummages through a corpse and takes an item*). Loot your kills quickly near one.

Abilities

Crippling blows

Each time it hits in melee there's a 20% chance of one extra effect, chosen at random:

• Stun: you're frozen for 4 seconds ("You have been stunned!").
• Paralyzing blow: you're frozen for 3 seconds ("You have been hit by a paralyzing blow!").
• Critical strike: an extra 10–14 damage ("You have been hit by a critical strike!").

Loot

Every juka warrior carries:

• Gold: about 90–225 in total (from its "Average" and "Meager" loot)
• 1 random gem (amber, amethyst, citrine, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, star sapphire or tourmaline)

It may also carry:

• A magic weapon, armor piece or shield (up to 5 chances, from about 5% down to 0.2% each)
• A musical instrument (about 0.5% or less)
• an arcane gem (10%)

Carving

Use a blade on the corpse to get:

• 1 raw ribs

Tips

• Its freezes leave you open to other monsters; don't fight several at once.
• Its 120–130 Magic Resistance blunts your spells.
• It always shows as a murderer.
• It rummages through corpses, so loot your kills before it reaches them.
