The Ogre Lord is a giant among ogres: nearly 500–550 hit points, 125–140 Magic Resistance and blows of 20–25 damage. It has no spells, but it soaks up a lot of punishment.
Overview
- In-game name: an ogre lord
- Corpse: an ogre lords corpse
- Behavior: it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights in melee.
- Movement: it is one of the slower creatures in the game (slow speed), so you can outrun it.
- Rummages corpses: from time to time it takes a random item from a corpse within 2 tiles (*rummages through a corpse and takes an item*). Loot your kills quickly near one.
- Factions: its script lists it as allied to Minax (the Factions system) and to the evil ethic.

Abilities
Poison immunity
It is immune to poison up to Regular (Lesser, Regular). Only stronger poison affects it.
Loot
Every ogre lord carries:
- Gold: about 520–700 in total (from its "Rich" ×2 loot)
- a club
It may also carry:
- A magic weapon, armor piece or shield (up to 6 chances, from about 20% down to 1% each)
- A musical instrument (about 2% or less)
- A level 3 treasure map (1% chance)
Carving
Use a blade on the corpse to get:
- 2 raw ribs
Location
- The Deceit brazier (a scripted item named for the dungeon Deceit): double-clicking it from within 2 tiles summons one creature picked at random from a list of about 90, and this is one of them. The brazier warns players who step next to it ("Heed this warning well, and use this brazier at your own peril"). It works once every 15 minutes and places the creature within 5 tiles. The summoned creature is set to attack the closest target, even if it would normally leave you alone, and it stays within 5 tiles of the brazier.
Tips
- Its very high Magic Resistance cuts down most spell damage, so melee and archery are the better tools.
- It's immune to Regular poison and weaker.
- It's slow: archers can kite it, and you can walk away from it.
- It rummages through corpses, so loot your kills before it reaches them.
- Two Rich loot packs and a 1% chance at a level 3 treasure map. Carve it for 2 raw ribs.
