The Solen Worker is the weakest of the giant solen ants. Red and black workers serve rival hives, and both carry a fair amount of gold for such an easy kill.

- Red and black: red and black solen workers have identical stats; the black one is darker and has a different look.
- Behavior: it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights in melee.
- Solen friendship. Players who finished the Solen Matriarch quest are friends of either the red or the black hive. Solen of your hive don't treat you, your pets or your summons as enemies. If you, your pet or your summon damages a solen of your own hive, the friendship ends at once: "The solen revoke their friendship. You will now be considered an intruder."

Loot
Every solen worker carries:
- 1–2 random gems (amber, amethyst, citrine, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, star sapphire or tourmaline)
- 100–279 gold (packed directly, not from a loot pack)
- 1 zoogi fungus
- 1–2 random gems
It may also carry:
- A picnic basket holding a bottle of wine and a cheese wedge (1% chance)
Zoogi fungus is part of the Solen Matriarch quest: the matriarch turns it into powder of translocation (1 powder for every 2 fungus, up to 100 at a time).
Carving
There's nothing to carve from its corpse.
Tips
- One of the best gold-per-risk kills for a new character: 58–72 hit points and over 100 gold each.
- Workers have no acid sac, unlike solen warriors and queens.
- Don't attack the hive you're friends with, or you'll lose the friendship.
