The Pixie is a tiny winged fey with a lot of armor for its size and some magic. It only hunts the evil.

Overview

• In-game name: a random pixie name
• Corpse: a pixie corpse
• Behavior: it attacks creatures and players with negative karma (evil) on sight, ignores everyone else, and fights like a spellcaster (mage AI), mixing spells with melee.
• Movement: it is one of the faster creatures in the game (very fast speed).
• Notoriety: it shows as innocent (blue). Whether attacking it affects your own standing hasn't been checked.
• Enemies: fey creatures (wisps, pixies, centaurs, ethereal warriors and the like) and the undead are enemies and attack each other on sight.

Abilities

Magic

It fights with the mage AI: it closes to melee range but casts between swings. Its Magery is 90.1–100.0 and its Evaluating Intelligence 90.1–100.0.

• Damage spells: Magic Arrow, Harm, Fireball, Lightning, Mind Blast, Energy Bolt, Explosion and Flame Strike.
• Other spells: about 1 cast in 8 is Poison (only if you aren't poisoned already). It may also Bless itself, curse you (Weaken, Clumsy, Feeblemind or Curse), drain your mana (Mana Drain or Mana Vampire) or Paralyze you.
• Healing: it cures itself when poisoned, and sometimes heals itself (Greater Heal when badly hurt), more often the higher its Magery.
• Dispel: with 201+ Intelligence it can cast Dispel on your summoned creatures (more reliably the higher its Magery).

Loot

Every pixie carries:

• 1 magic scroll from circles 1–3 (now and then a blank scroll). With Necromancy enabled on New Bradford, necromancy scrolls can show up too.
• 2 random gems (amber, amethyst, citrine, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, star sapphire or tourmaline)

It may also carry:

• a statue (2%)
• a pixie leg (35%, dropped in its corpse)

Carving

Use a blade on the corpse to get:

• 1 raw ribs
• 5 spined hides

Location

• Champion spawn: it is a level 1 creature of the Forest Lord champion spawn (champion: Lord Oaks), so it appears at the fixed Forest Lord altar at 5559, 3757 (Lost Lands). Each one killed during a spawn gives the killer Valor and champion-title progress.

Champion spawns only exist if the staff have generated them (with the staff command [GenChamps); the code doesn't say whether that's been done on New Bradford.

Tips

• Only players with negative karma get attacked on sight.
• Its 100 armor makes it slower to kill with weapons than its 13–18 hit points suggest.
