The Bone Knight has the same stats as the skeletal knight (118–150 hit points, 8–18 damage) but moves more slowly, and it sometimes carries a slayer weapon or instrument.
Overview
- In-game name: a bone knight
- Corpse: a skeletal corpse
- Behavior: it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights in melee.
- Movement: it is one of the slower creatures in the game (slow speed), so you can outrun it.
- Enemies: fey creatures (wisps, pixies, centaurs, ethereal warriors and the like) and the undead are enemies and attack each other on sight.
- Bleed immune: bleed attacks (a weapon special New Bradford enables) don't affect it.
- Khaldun: a Knight of Khaldun turns into a bone knight when it dies. That bone knight carries the zealot's loot but gives no fame or karma.

Loot
Every bone knight carries:
- Gold: about 90–225 in total (from its "Average" and "Meager" loot)
- one piece of plate armor (arms, tunic, gloves, gorget, leggings or helm, picked at random)
- a scimitar
- a wooden shield
It may also carry:
- A magic weapon, armor piece or shield (up to 5 chances, from about 5% down to 0.2% each)
- A musical instrument (about 0.5% or less)
- a slayer weapon or slayer instrument (5%)
Carving
There's nothing to carve from its corpse.
Location
- Champion spawn: it is a level 3 creature of the Unholy Terror champion spawn (champion: Neira), so it appears at the fixed Unholy Terror altar at 5179, 709, and any of the 11 Lost Lands altars that rolls Unholy Terror. Each one killed during a spawn gives the killer Valor and champion-title progress.
- The Deceit brazier (a scripted item named for the dungeon Deceit): double-clicking it from within 2 tiles summons one creature picked at random from a list of about 90, and this is one of them. The brazier warns players who step next to it ("Heed this warning well, and use this brazier at your own peril"). It works once every 15 minutes and places the creature within 5 tiles. The summoned creature is set to attack the closest target, even if it would normally leave you alone, and it stays within 5 tiles of the brazier.
Champion spawns only exist if the staff have generated them (with the staff command [GenChamps); the code doesn't say whether that's been done on New Bradford.
Tips
- It's slow, so you can walk away from it.
- The 5% slayer drop can be valuable.
- It's immune to bleeding.
