The Centaur is a half-man, half-horse archer of the forests. It carries a bow and plenty of arrows and has master Archery.
Overview
- In-game name: a random centaur name
- Corpse: a centaur corpse
- Behavior: it leaves you alone unless you attack it, then fights in melee.
- Enemies: fey creatures (wisps, pixies, centaurs, ethereal warriors and the like) and the undead are enemies and attack each other on sight.
- Bow: it's equipped with a bow and has 95–100 Archery, though it uses the melee AI (it moves in close).

Loot
Every centaur carries:
- Gold: about 320–500 in total (from its "Rich" and "Average" loot)
- 1 random gem (amber, amethyst, citrine, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, star sapphire or tourmaline)
- 80–90 arrows
It may also carry:
- A magic weapon, armor piece or shield (up to 6 chances, from about 20% down to 0.5% each)
- A musical instrument (about 1.4% or less)
Carving
Use a blade on the corpse to get:
- 1 raw ribs
- 8 spined hides
Location
- Champion spawn: it is a level 3 creature of the Forest Lord champion spawn (champion: Lord Oaks), so it appears at the fixed Forest Lord altar at 5559, 3757 (Lost Lands). Each one killed during a spawn gives the killer Valor and champion-title progress.
Champion spawns only exist if the staff have generated them (with the staff command [GenChamps); the code doesn't say whether that's been done on New Bradford.
Tips
- It only fights if attacked.
- Loot its arrows for your own bow.
- Carve it for 8 spined hides.
