The Exodus Minion is a heavy clockwork servant of Exodus, protected by a magical barrier that weapons can't break while it's at full strength. It always carries golem parts.

Overview

  • In-game name: an exodus minion
  • Corpse: a minion's corpse
  • Behavior: it attacks the nearest target it sees and fights in melee.
  • Bard skills: it can't be provoked, calmed with Peacemaking or discorded.
  • Scary to pets: if you order most pets to attack it, they refuse: "Your pet refuses to attack this creature!"

Abilities

Poison immunity

It is immune to all poison, so poisoned weapons, the Poison spell and poison potions do nothing to it.

Dispels summons

Any summoned creature that can be dispelled is destroyed instantly when it hits the exodus minion in melee or the exodus minion hits it. Blade spirits, energy vortexes, summoned elementals and daemons are wasted against it.

Magical barrier

It is surrounded by a magical field. While the field is up, melee and other physical damage does nothing ("Your weapon cannot penetrate the creature's magical barrier."), but spells hurt it. Once spells bring it below 90% of its hit points, the field drops: now spells do nothing and weapons work. The field comes back when it has healed to 90% (checked about every 10 seconds). Switch between magic and melee to match.

Loot

Every exodus minion carries:

  • Gold: about 320–500 in total (from its "Average" and "Rich" loot)
  • 1 power crystal, 1 arcane gem and 1 clockwork assembly
  • one more of those three, chosen at random

It may also carry:

  • A magic weapon, armor piece or shield (up to 6 chances, from about 20% down to 0.5% each)
  • A musical instrument (about 1.4% or less)

The power crystals, arcane gems, clockwork assemblies and gears that Exodus constructs and golems carry are the parts a tinker needs to build a golem.

Carving

There's nothing to carve from its corpse.

Tips

  • Open with spells: weapons can't hurt it until magic drops its barrier below 90% health.
  • Once the barrier is down, switch to weapons, because spells stop working. Keep the pressure on so it can't heal back to 90%.
  • Pets refuse to attack it, and its touch destroys summons, so this is a fight for you, not your pets.
  • Every minion carries a full set of golem parts except the gears.
